Audio trimmer & ringtone maker

Cut the part of a song you want, add a fade, and save it as an MP3, WAV or a ringtone for iPhone or Android.

The preview plays in your browser. The cut is made on our server and both files are deleted as soon as the download is sent.

How to trim a song

  1. Choose an MP3, WAV, M4A or other audio file.
  2. Drag the two handles on the waveform, or type the start and end times. Press Play selection to check it.
  3. Turn on a fade if you want the sound to start or end softly, pick a format and press Cut & download.

Make an iPhone ringtone

  1. Select up to 40 seconds and choose M4R (iPhone ringtone).
  2. On a Mac, connect your iPhone, open it in Finder and drag the .m4r file onto the iPhone's General tab. On Windows, drag it into the Tones section of iTunes or the Apple Devices app.
  3. On the iPhone, open Settings, then Sounds & Haptics, then Ringtone, and pick your new tone.

Make an Android ringtone

Save the clip as MP3, copy it to your phone's Ringtones folder (or open it from Downloads), then choose it under Settings, Sound, Phone ringtone. 20 to 30 seconds is plenty.

Questions

Does trimming reduce the quality?

Choosing WAV keeps every detail. MP3, M4A and OGG are saved at 192 kbps, which sounds the same as the original to most people.

Why is the iPhone ringtone limited to 40 seconds?

iPhones won't accept a ringtone longer than 40 seconds, so the trimmer stops you before you make one that won't install.

Is it free?

Yes, with no account and no watermark.
